Costa Rica Pacific Side

Costa Rica!!!
We spent 2 weeks in Costa Rica with Sean and Michelle. We started on the Pacific side for a week then went to the Caribbean side for the next week. On the Pacific side we went to Quepos, Dominical, and Uvita. On the Caribbean side we went to Puerto Viejo. We spent most of our time enjoying the many beaches. We did some hiking, went on a whale watching tour, rented surfboards, did a zipline tour and also rented bicycles. These are all pictures from the Pacific Coast.

Entering in to Costa Rica from Nicaragua!!

We told the bus driver to stop at the airport, but he forgot, so he let us off after the airport on the side of the freeway and we walked in the ditch back to the airport.

We all made it! Here we are waiting for a bus in San Jose on our way to Quepos!!
Sean  MIchelle and I walking on Manuel Antonio Beach near Quepos.
Sean, Colleen and Michelle at our hostel in Quepos.
Capuchin Monkey Near Manuel Antonio Beach.

This is El Avion in Manuel Antonio. The US army gave this airplane to Costa Rica but beacuse Costa Rica does not have an army it beacame an amazing bar.

This is our hostel in Dominical, Michelle is relaxing in the hammock during a rain storm.
This rain storm was very strong, at one point lightning struck behind the building and it made Colleens feet tingle for 20 minutes. The rain also knocked a tree on to the powerlines on the main road.

Sean and I going surfing for the first time ever. The waves were big and we had no success, we were worked. We tried again when the tide went out and both got up many times.
Michelle going to surf with our friend Natasha from France.
Colleen and I about to shred!! Or Colleen giving me a lesson on how to catch waves.
Leaf Cutter ants in Uvita, these ants are everywhere!!
While in Uvita we went to on a whale watching tour, this is a Hump Back Whale with her calf. On the tour we saw dolphins and more whales!!
Sean and I on the whale tour.
